My final project for Intro to Marketing was to analyze a company’s marketing strategy and create strategies for said company to improve.
We decided to analyze eyewear company Warby Parker, a relatively young brand (founded in 2010) that creates glasses in-house and sells the products directly to consumers – shortening the supply chain and the cost. We were drawn to its interesting business model, cool storytelling, and a great brand voice (their copy is seriously amazing).
My group analyzed aspects such as the marketing mix, target audience, methods of differentiation, and competitors. We even conducted our own market research and checked out news articles written about the company in order to understand what was and wasn’t working for Warby Parker.
Note: This presentation was created in 2015 before Warby Parker (which prided itself as a direct to consumer brand) launched in retail store Nordstrom.
