She is known for her signature hair, a silver bob that she has worn for decades, as well as her signature turtleneck. Mellen is also noted for her support of young designers and her adoration for fashion. Though she is retired and well into her 80’s, she still attends fashion shows and events. Even now, Mellen can be seen in the front row and her applause and cheers for her favorite looks can be heard by all.
