The Uppercase (The Larger Narrative)
When I was in the fourth grade, my Language Arts teacher told me (and the rest of the class), that I should become a writer when I grew up.
Little did I know then that writing and communication would become such an integral part of my identity.
My name is Ameihia and I am passionate about communication in all its forms: visual, verbal, and non-verbal as well as writing, journalism, marketing and public relations.
As an English and Business graduate, my heart is drawn to stories—the stories we tell each other, the stories we tell ourselves, and language’s power to shape worlds.
My passion for humanities and business has provided me with a broader understanding of cultures and the communications, passions, and ideals found within them.
In today’s globalized and digital world, social sharing between communities still revolves around stories even if the mediums have changed greatly.
While photographs and videos dominate the social media landscape, it is the clever words surrounding it that turn copy from good to great.
Thus, I utilize words and images to tell stories about movers and shakers. I am excited by the potential that words and images have for businesses, and I hope to enable companies to succeed with my craft.
I believe that stories are all around us. I understand how to articulate them and turn them into resonating moments.
