You have to have your roots before your branches. And to establish my blog’s foundation more, I have decided to do a little intro course called Blogging 101 which provides daily assignments for three weeks. In other words, I willingly signed myself up for Blogging Boot Camp.
But, I need this exercise. Because to convey ourselves to the world, we all rely on our ability to articulate ourselves: in both words and (inter)actions.
And I want to work on my self-articulation. I decided to sign up for the course because I wanted to work on personal growth in my writing, (inter)actions, and myself (physically and mentally). Luckily, this blog checks off a few of those goals.
Overall, my hope for this blog is to be able to transform myself into a better writer and convey my own voice to the world. As I study English in college, I wanted a space to practice creative writing for myself as opposed to crafting an argument about a novel for a grade.
While I greatly respect these academic exercises, I wanted to try something new. Because each person is a story, Iridescent Glimmer is a space for me to practice my writing style through meditations on fashion, travel, (pop) culture, and the self.
I’m here to stretch my limbs and let my branches grow throughout these next few weeks. I’m going to let the words flow from my trunk and unfurl into leaves on this blog.
Shine and shimmer.
